Marc Muinzer was born and raised in Lafayette, IN, graduated from Purdue University, and founded South Street Capital in 2002. His track record spans nearly two decades and 1.5 million square feet of acquisitions and ground-up developments in niche asset classes including student housing, urban retail and creative office. For the last 16 years, Marc has been the most active operator near Purdue University. During this time, he has acquired, repositioned, entitled, developed and managed over 1,200 beds and 70,000 square feet of retail, all within three blocks of the Purdue University campus in West Lafayette, IN. From 2008 to 2016, Marc opportunistically acquired and repositioned 900,000 square feet of distressed creative office assets in downtown Chicago that led to a successful exit of the portfolio and produced substantial returns for investors.

Michael Snyder, Director of Acquisitions
Michael Snyder joined South Street Capital in February 2016 as Director of Acquisitions. Michael is responsible for sourcing acquisitions, underwriting, conducting due diligence, securing debt and the general oversight of the South Street Capital portfolio. Prior to SSC, Michael was Investment Manager for Starwood Waypoint Residential Trust, a leading single-family rental REIT. He was responsible for Chicago acquisitions and grew the portfolio to 1,200 assets.
Jonathan Augustin, Director of Property Management
Jonathan Augustin joined South Street Capital in July 2017 as Director of Property Management. Jonathan’s 15-year career in property management has focused on the student-housing sector, holding key operational positions in both the West Lafayette, IN and Bloomington, IN submarkets. While leading the Prime Property Investors in-house property management platform near Purdue University, he successfully scaled it to encompass over 700 beds.
