Marc Muinzer was born and raised in Lafayette, IN, and graduated from Purdue University. Marc founded Muinzer and its affiliate, South Street Capital, in 2002 and established a track record that spans two decades with over $1 billion of acquisitions focused on student housing. With offices in Los Angeles, Knoxville, West Lafayette, and Chicago, Muinzer is one of the largest owners, managers, and developers of student housing in the Big Ten and SEC Conferences. In 2021 Marc was named a Purdue University College of Science Distinguished Graduate. In 2015 was named to the Crain's Chicago 40 Under 40 list.
CHIEF OPERATING OFFICER
Michael joined Muinzer in February 2016 as Director of Acquisitions and was promoted to Chief Operating Officer in April 2019. Michael is responsible for sourcing acquisitions, underwriting, conducting due diligence, securing debt, and the general oversight of the Muinzer portfolio. Prior to Muinzer, Michael was Investment Manager for Starwood Waypoint Residential Trust, a leading single-family rental REIT. He was responsible for Chicago acquisitions and grew the portfolio to 1,200 assets.
Stacy DeBruyne grew up in Fort Wayne, Indiana, and is a graduate of Purdue University. She began her Student Housing career in 2010 and has served the Purdue University market since then. With experience in third-party management and ownership/management assets, Stacy brings a wealth of experience in property operations to the Muinzer team.
DIRECTOR OF MARKETING
Shelby Sanders is originally from Warsaw, Indiana, and started her student housing career in 2011 after graduating from Purdue University. Spending the majority of her career as a road warrior, Shelby has experience with leasing and marketing in over 30 markets across the US.
